Charmaine is one of our fabulous Field Care Supervisors. As well as carrying out care calls across the county, being a Field Care Supervisor is a busy role which involves a variety of duties including care assessments, managing medication charts and administration work at Head Office. Field Care Supervisors are also responsible for spot checks on our carers to ensure they have the equipment they need to do their duties and that they are delivering the highest levels of care on which we pride ourselves here at Cavell.
Charmaine hasn’t always been in the care sector having been a funeral director for 20 years, but she decided to have a change of career and as someone who loves helping people she felt it was something she would enjoy. It is fair to say she has taken to care like a duck to water! She says she loves the work, especially the fact that it helps keep people in their own homes and she would encourage anyone considering a career in care to give it a go, as it’s so rewarding.
Her colleagues would describe her as compassionate and she is a hugely popular member of the team both with her peers and our clients. In her spare time Charmaine enjoys walking her dogs, cross stitch and art.
